I'm not sure... and I don't feel bad not knowing: if you make a circle with your thumb and index finger (eg. like an "OK" sign), and you find a hermit crab of that size, that hermit crab's claw can grab on to you so hard that it hurts, and that's about the size where it could break a child's finger.
In other words: I'm not getting much closer to find out!
